My Story

Hanging By a Thread, is a passion of Jill Pemberton a retired teacher from Knaresborugh, Yorkshire. Jill lovingly crafts handwoven scarves and shawls complimented by handmade shawl pins inspired by nature.

Jill uses locally sourced spun and dyed wool combined with a variety of yarns and alpaca wool. All products are hand washable.
